What will win:
Avatar without question. It made 2 billion dollars plus and is a fun, accessible film. If Return of the King can win it, (deservedly so imo) this will win. While I thought the writing was mediocre, it was a thrilling cinematic experience. In these times, the academy will reward the guy who brings in the big bucks. Thoughts?

Not sure, but don't think it will be Avatar, its too popular. Maybe Precious.

I've only seen 2 of the movies - Avatar - which I agree is an experience and takes movies to a whole new level - and UP - which I enjoyed but not enough to say "best picture".

If Million Dollar Baby can win then anything can happen. I did not like that movie.

I can see Avatar winning for visual/special effects, but I always think of a "best picture" going to one with a great story - which I didn't think Avatar had - even though I thought it was very creative visually.
