The Cost For A Beach Wedding In Walton County

Prior cost was $50 for events of any size.

New fees for wedding on the beach or other event: $50 for an event with fewer than 10 people; $150 for 10-30 people; $250 for 31-50 people; $500 for 51-75 people; and $1,000 for 76 or more people.

County says it is to control the rising number of weddings. Events are limited to one event per beach access per day. Access use can't be blocked for use by general public.

70 permits were issued from Feb. 18-June 2 last year and 69 were issued from Feb. 22-June 2 this year in Walton County.

At public beaches in Panama City Beach, the fee for a beach wedding or other special event attended by 500 or fewer people is $50. Okaloosa County (Destin, Ft Walton Beach) is free for under 50 people, $100 for over. Navarre / Pensacola Beach is free.

Charge more and issue limited yearly permits like the driving on the beach at Grayton.

Only a certain number per licensed and registered Wedding Planner. Supply & Demand Curve folks...

The way these entitled "guests" act on a Public Beach needs to be reigned in and quick.

WHO actually checks these events for their "Permits", TDC Code Enforcement...???:floor:
