Who We Are Looking For:

The Mermaid Sea Swim School is looking to hire 2 to 3 swim instructors to join our team. We are looking for someone who has been or is currently a teacher, swimmer, and/or scuba diver to help us provide high quality and effective, one to one swim instruction. Our instructors must be enthusiastic, responsible, focused, caring, have a working understanding of body mechanics in water, and be able to be completely present to children. We are looking to hire people who are willing and able to take what they know and apply it to what we have to teach you. At The Mermaid Sea Swim School, we have our own method of instructing swim and new instructors will be required to learn and apply this method.

Who We Are:

Our current team is composed of 4 instructors. Our newest instructor has been teaching swim for the last 10 years and our founder has been teaching for the past 50 years. All of our lessons are one to one, for 30 minutes, once a week. We teach in 3 hour sessions, at most, 2 times per day. Our season will begin this April and run through this October. The Mermaid Sea Swim School has served the families of Okaloosa, Walton, and Bay County for the last 13 years. Our school serves nearly 200 children per year.

We are still searching for instructors. This is apart time job that will easily fit into your schedule. Most swim happens from 3pm to 6pm each day. During the summer we have swim times that are from 9am to 12pm. The key is that we schedule around when our instructors are available.
