No end in sight for our heat! We are getting heat lightning and storms, but not enough to water the lawn.

You know when you are bakin' a casserole and you open the oven to check it? Hot steam billows out and you hear it bubblin'? That's what it was like when I opened the back door yesterday to turn Cowboy out. Oppressive, just plain oppressive. A good friend of mine calls it Africa Hot.

Are All Y'all gettin' this visual?

I am sitting here in my gym shorts sans shirt just thinking about your heat:funn::funn::funn:

We have had rain here on and off since Sunday morning. We are in the process of helping the neighbors paint their house and have been completely shut out since last weekend because of the weather. We have had plans on the days that the weather cooperated and just can't seem to put together 2 good days to paint.

My little plants are shriveling up as I speak. We get lots of clouds in the afternoon, but nothing in the way of precipitation. Dammit. Gotta go move the sprinkler.

DD, the weather here is a little cooler and cloudy today so it is comfortable in the upstairs office. It is supposed to get into the 90's bu the weekend though. Sounds like some pool lounging time this weekend. It will be too hot to paint so maybe I can relax. On another note, The "How Sad" thread, your reply was great. You are one of my favorites so don't get depressed!!!!

Good morning C.O.S. I hope you are having a nice day. The clouds are starting to break up and we have some sunshine. DD must be smiling. Just sitting in my upstairs office and watching the squirrels chase each other around the yards and up and down the trees. This is in between sales calls

Aww...thanks. I get a little protective of the lounge from time to time. No worries though..I'm good.
KISH--it's so hot here, the squirrels are drinking out of the bottoms of the flower pots--and they're flopped out on the branches of trees gasping for breath! I expect that toad to start following me around when I water any day now.

I have to try and get my chores done by noon or so before it gets too hot. Our problem here is the humidity. It gets terrible when it is that hot. I have to go out on the deck with the BB gun to keep the squirrels out of the pool when it gets that hot.

Rasberry Iced Tea. I only like to have a beer when I am grilling. The squirrels try to use the pool for laps. It is really tough keeping them out.
