What's most important is an agent who will fight to get the deal that's best for you.

Then make sure you have a single agency relationship with your broker! I would say what's most important is an agent who is ethical and on the listing side, willing to split a commission 50/50. Ask your agent why they deserve 60% of the money you pay in commissions when they aren't the one bringing the buyer to the closing table.
