I certainly couldn't agree more! But how do you impose term limits with our present system?

If there were still statesman in this country it would be different maybe. But now they are owned. Bought and paid for.

We have sold our souls to greed.

Term limits are a bad idea solely from the perspective that an outgoing politician will be more likely to cast really horrible votes if there are no reelection implications.

What does it matter to them if they have to leave office, anyway?

By "horrible votes" you mean the ones that actually might do some good for the country? I think re-election and re-election fund-raising are about all these codgers ever think about.

Just ask Marco Rubio, he claims he doesn't have time to do the job he was elected to do because he is too busy running for President. A thirsty cherub faced lazy taker suckling off the government teat while trying to find a billionaire sugar daddy to finance his run for a job he will never have.

I'm talking in hypothetical situations and raised no specifics. Please don't put words in my mouth or try to insinuate my post says something else.

I simply said that if there were no reelection ramifications politicians are more likely not to give a rat's behind...
