That's beautiful - I've never seen it. Coincidentally our daughter's boyfriend is treating his dad to a fishing trip there this weekend as a Father's Day gift.

My 'tar is fuzzy as well. Snapped it from my phone while hung up in rush-hour traffic near The Varsity yesterday. It's the new Atlanta logo. From what I've read, it hasn't been well received. I can see why. But your photo is beautiful!

Thanks BR. Atlanta has set up a booth at the Riverbend Festival this year and they have some mouth breathing slack gen x'er on a mike "Talkin bout the ATL" I swear if I hear that one more time :puke:

"Come over here with the beautiful people" "We're talkin the ATL baby" I'd like to shuv that mike...... :bang:

BR, there is a reason why ATL isn't well received for the new name for the city of Atlanta -- it is because the city's name is Atlanta and has been for a long time now. ATL has been an airport abbreviation.

If the name of the city changes, will the Atlanta Athletic Club be renamed, "The ATL Athletic Club?" or will the Atalnta Braves be renamed, "The ATL Braves?"

I don't have a problem with the name. It was that little punk trying his best to act all Hip Hop. Give me a break :roll:
 
I totally understand where you're coming from, RO and SJ, about ATL.

I've just read some stuff online about adventure racing. Impressive, RO. If the cortisone shots in my heels helps, maybe I'll be out there pounding the pavement again at 25 miles a week like I was a year or so ago. But adventure racing ... wow.:bow:

Come and see us. Team Chafed and Confused. We'll be at Ft Yargo just outside "The ATL" This coming Saturday June, 24. I maybe wandering around in the woods for a while though :biggrin:

Can't help you with the confused part, but for the chafing, check into some products like Bodyglide, which have nothing to do with the juicy photo in my avatar.;-)
