God luv ya, LL. :wave:

Yep, it got changed.....stay tuned! :biggrin: :wave:

Here's one for the record books....they have been jackhammering for about 3 hours and they are almost done...I just got a call...guess what is under the concrete and sand...

ANOTHER CONCRETE
PATIO!

:eek: :shock: :roll:...please tell me to can it if I come up with any more home improvement plans!

P.S. Rita...I am going to look at trees on Wednesday....very small trees.

FTLOG! You've got to be kidding! I'm sorry Miss Kitty, I'm sure this is very stressfull! Keep your chin up...it will be over soon.

You should try remodeling, adding a pool, deck, hot tub, guest house & adding on to a 100 year old farm house while living in it! :blink::shock::eek::yikes: I walked over plywood walkways for almost nine months...shoot, I could have had a baby by then!

:yikes: My advice is to go to SoWal until this project is completed.

I second that! :clap::clap::clap:

No way!!! :yikes:

:rofl:

Yes, way! :biggrin:

Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!:yikes::yikes:

:floor:...I knew you would love this tidy bit of news.

:yikes: My advice is to go to SoWal until this project is completed.

:cool:...and I like the way you think!

:eek: I think they might find Jimmy Hoffa under there.

Good luck Kitty. I know when I started my renovation it was one thing after another. Just like LL, I had to have my house jacked up. It was cracking in every room. I have a crawl space though so they jacked it up and put in wedges to shore it up. It was not pretty. I am glad it is all over. Well, I still need new counter tops. Oh, and a new kitchen floor. My water line from the fridge leaked while I was in Florida and flooded the kitchen. I swear the floor is going to explode any minute. It has a huge hump in it. But, oh my I am so tired of renovations. :bang:

:funn:...I am now hoping for Texas Tea...OIL!
Darlene...do you dare make a claim with the insurance company?

This is what you get for building your house on the Indians' sacred patio lands. :nono1:

:eek:...that's all I need...angry spirits! Hope they have a casino!

Send me your jackhammer when you're done. I have to dig a pucking well.

1960 very custom home. Three bedroom, 6 potties:yikes:, 2 bathtubs. Originally had pink, turqoise & silver wallpaper, pink appliances and gold sparkly speckled linoleum-- you get my point. Everything was custom and no longer attainable. Just had a plumber in today to replace a 48-year old p-trap because the standard ones are abou 3/4" different in length/width. The guy had to go purchase some sort of new tool to make the standard ones fit my "Old pucking pipes". I told him to hang on to that tool, because I've still got 5 sinks with rotting p-traps left.

I'm sorry for your pain, Miss K, but this thread is funny as hail. :floor:

:funn:...I have to agree!

In my ongoing quest to make everyone feel better about themselves at my expense, here is the update...

Yesterday, was day three of the jackhammer. These guys are hard workers. Then it started raining very heavily and they left. I'd guess they are 1/3 of the way through the second concrete patio slab....the good news is we have hit pay dirt...the bad news is I am going to go look at trees today (weather permitting) and they keep getting smaller. :roll:

Painters come at 8 am to do the trim in the powder bath that is finally getting wallpapered in a week. I waited 4 months for the wallpaper. Nothing I do is easy...and it's my own fault. :floor: Good news is Mr. K is still in the Far East and he knows nothing of this! Ignorance is bliss in my book! :biggrin:

:wave:...have a great day!

Bringing this back, so I can share a bit of my sorry little life with y'all. :biggrin:

Concrete patios gone. New stone is being laid today. Decided to remove the old concrete stairs that no one ever used...they were on the former patio and led to the laundry room. Of course, there was no siding behind the stairs and they no longer can find masonite siding, because well, it crumbles. :eek: Going with Hardy Board. The deck stairs on the patio side are gone and will need to be rebuilt. Mr. K's new gas grill arrived. The new pad for the grill is done. The stone guys will build new stone enclosure for grill. The tree pruners are here. New trees go in tomorrow. :clap: Molly is on the leash and it is attached to my arm to keep her from barking. I paid bills this morning. I am feeling like I am single handedly keeping the Dallas economy going. :shock: Mr. K is in London. I blame everything on him and Bush. Believe me, it works. :wave:

I like Hardy Board. But the morrons that built my house used hardy with real wood vertical slats. Hmmmm Vertical slats need painting about every year, and the Hardy looks good. You cant paint one without the other looking bad, so the next time I have to pait the wood its going to be removed.
