Tiger at Augusta -- Historical Connections

[DuneLaker]

I don't have any direct ties for Tiger Woods to South Walton, but there are interesting historical ties between South Walton and Augusta where Tiger will be playing in the Master's golf tournament this week. George Walton, Jr., Walton County, Florida's namesake, was from Augusta, Georgia as well as his famous daughter, Madame Octavia Walton Le Vert. You can read more about this as you watch the Master's tournament on my "Augusta" History Blog.
