I'm wondering if there would be interest in Walton County for starting a time bank. I find this a very interesting concept. Many of us have skills that we could offer others and needs that are difficult to satisfy through ordinary businesses.
A time bank is a service exchange but not a direct barter system. Person A might mow the lawn or babysit for person B, then person C might fix the computer of person A. A website is used to keep track of the hours credited to each person and to post needs that they have.
Here's a website that explains the program -- http://timebanks.org/
Here's a short youtube video describing a timebank in Vermont -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3kJ5QB6Htk
