Time to Go Big or Go Home!

Being a person who is of the creative spirit....and I constantly see so many opportunities around me....Even during this slow market....I am considering opening another business as my last 7 years at the House of Art have been a blessing....

I currently have two additional business that I am ready to get off the ground and do not have room in the HOA at this time...too little space...

SO....I'm considering renting an additional (larger) building here at The Shops of Grayton and doing a retail co-op establishment.

If there are any artists/antique'ers/etc. That would be interested in joining...Please let me know. I'd love to have locals. I want it to be an eclectic mix of merchandise...I'd rather not have duplicates of any one item...such as having only 1 artist, 1 jewelry maker, 1 booth for antiques...I will be taking two booths...I'm working on the floor plan now....to see what sizes we could offer and how much they would be. I am not planning to make any money off the rent....only make sure the monthly rent is covered....

Whom ever comes aboard will be responsible for working one day or so a week or every two weeks...how ever it works out....I haven't worked out all the details yet, but would like to know who might be interested....

I'm thinking we may be able to pull this together....I've been getting lots of response......I'm doing my best to keep the pricing as low as possible. I know we all need that now....It's a great location and we get great traffic...it's a way of getting into a business without all the hassel. It will be located between The Studio and me....The House of Art.

Oh...First come first serve as to where your "booth" will be located. I've already had several inquiries....so once I get this worked out...I will email those that have gotten touch with me in the order they contacted me...I only think that is fair...

I will know more this week....I'm actually excited about this...

Oh..I'm trying to come up with a name....anyone want to make any suggestions???

There's a co-op art gallery we love which is similar to this, located at Sanibel Island, FL. Tower Gallery Artists' Co-op has been around 20+ years, online at:

Maybe bring co-op into the name, i.e. SoWal Artists' Co-op...SWAC...

or perhaps SoWal Art Group, SWAG...
