Actually heading North and now getting a little bummed that I am not able to head east!

Erika has moved west. Wunderground.com shows several models that come right through the Destin to Panama City area.

11:00 report: As you know, it's no longer a tropical storm. We had just packed up the car, but decided to wait on the 11 AM update. Glad we don't have to drive down and back in a 28 hour period.

As of 8am CDT, the National Hurricane Center has said it has issued its final advisory on Tropical Storm Erika. Hurricane Hunters investigated the storm this morning and found it had dissipated.

Erika has been battling both wind shear and land interaction, which ultimately led to its demise.

The rain associated with the remnants of Erika still poses a flooding threat for northern Florida early next week according to the National Weather Service Office in Tallahassee.

We are here BR, the weather couldn't be better for our first day. Clear sky for the most part, beautiful water, green flags and warm.
