How could a tsunami hit Peru if originated off the coast of Chile? Nonetheless, glad Sis is enjoying that beach......I've been there! Peruvians are so friendly and delightful!

Tiny waves to Hawaii too. They panic because they don't know if it's going to be little ripples or a 100 footer.

This explains it. I didn't realize a devastating tsunami could be generated that quicky. Thanks swgb!

watched hours yesterday just waiting for the tsunami and nothing. i was glad that it was a false alarm but i kinda wanted to see it too. 
i mean without any lives lost or anything. i kept watching hilo bay the water was pretty much just back and forth with a few rapids, that was somewhat interesting to see.

Was anyone up and about in the wee hours the morning of the quake and note a seiche? What is a seiche, you ask? Read on...there were actually ripples in Lake Ponchartrain:shock:
