Vandals strike old Pt. Wash Church display

When I took the dog for a walk at 7 this morning I found one of the wisemen floating in the water next to Adam's Way off Eden. I knew he came from the church on the corner. When we got up there we found one of the other wisemen facing the wrong way. There were bicycle tracks all around the display and a big groove in the dirt from where the plywood cutout had been dragged.

I looked for a contact number at the church but didn't find one. If anyone knows how to contact them please let me know or give them a call.

I am so ticked off that someone would do this. It is senseless and mean. I hate to say that it was probably a couple of teens from right down the road, but that's what I have to think. If anyone can figure out who did this, please give them a swift kick from me and make them go do some community service.

Well, that's one way to earn a ticket on the express train to hail!

Why do people have to ruin things that bring others joy? :idontno:

Call the po-po and see if they can track them down!

I ran an errand a while ago and talked to a guy at the church who was outside cleaning it up. They were retrieving their king and going to put them back up. Apparently there was a 4 wheeler involved in the debacle.

That is really sad. I hope the "snot nosed non Santa and baby Jesus loving rat" gets caught!

I don't think I've ever gone thru a holiday season without teenagers doing this sort of thing. I'm not saying it's acceptable, in fact I think they should be made to sit in front of the church after cleaning it up with signs that say, "It's a good thing god is forgiving or I'd be a scorch mark."

I think they should be made to clean up the donkey and sheep poop at one of those living Nativity scenes- with their bare hands.

I like the way y'all think.

The last time the nativity was seen intact seems to be about 11:30 Sunday nite. So, it was done after that and before sunrise.

Anyone with any information, please call 850-855-0628 or pm me and I'll pass it on to the Fuzz...and kids, keep your ears open on the bus, please.
