took a day trip to my sis' on saturday - let me just say i am totally in love with my nephew - it is soo nice to be able to visit him without my mom around. he is a little monster with her, but he is the sweetest little thing when he's not around her. he and mr audie played trains, and just talked and laughed all day. little audie is just adorable, but little little babies make me nervous, i held her but i didn't like it....we took dory to mom and pops about 9am and headed over to my sis', took about 2.5 hrs to get there. her mother in law sent some snacks over for us for lunch, cheese ball, chicken salad, some little weinies wrapped in bacon, and some pop to drink. we visited all day, left about 5 or 5:30 to come home. decided to put the top up on the car because it was 90, good thing we did because coming home we went thru a downpour. sun was shining, and it poured buckets for about a mile, then it was like driving thru a curtain, suddenly it was dry :idontno: . my brother in law picked us some cucumbers and sweet corn, they grow awesome sweet corn. we got back home, had supper, and i went to bed. i am in the white holding little audie, please don't make fun of the coke bottle glasses, i am blind as a bat and was too lazy to put the contacts in ;-)

Great pix! That little Danielle does not look like she was just born last week! And yes, you do look a little nervous holding her. I was the same way. I'd never held a baby until my own was born!

Sounds like you had a nice visit ~

Awww, Audie, she's sooo cute. Both are sweeties! Sounds like she has a very thoughtful MIL.
I got to visit with Jackson and Delaney too yesterday. Forgot my camera though. Delaney is almost 6 months now!

Great pics!!.........Sounds like you had a wonderful time............send some of that rain down this way , I dunno about Sowal but here in Laguna beach...........yesterday looked like it was going to pour, and it sprinkled on my way home last night, it looked like we may have a had a good shower..............but my rain gauge only had a couple of drops of water in it:bang:

Precious photos...she is adorable  Glad your day was very special. Time with family can be wonderful.

Sweet kids Audie. Danielle looks like a little doll. Was your nephew jealous of the attention you showed Danielle or did you bring him enough toys to make him happy.:lolabove:

nah, my nephew so far has done really well with the baby. he would pat her and kiss her legs, he's not allowed to kiss her on the mouth, but he sure wants to lay a big sloppy one on her. he was having enough fun with mr audie that he didn't have time to be jealous...

i was nervous, that's for sure. she just seemed so little to me, and i was afraid i would hurt her. my sis kept saying she's pretty durable, you won't hurt her. she kept asking me if i wanted to hold her and i kept saying no. then my nephew "made doody" as he says, so sis gave me the choice of holding the baby or wiping benton's butt - i chose the baby !

OMG, Audie! They are precious!! Glad you had a good visit. Those tiny babies are pretty durable, but I remember that feeling when my first grandchild came along. It had been so long since I'd held one that small. But it sure didn't take long to get over my fear--since I babysat her almost every weekend.

:clap_1: :clap_1: Great trip report! How precious the new baby girl is...and I agree...she does not look like she was just born!

So, the solution is....never visit your nephew with your mom around again...:idontno: :funn:
