We had a block party last night. Good times. Family friendly event. Anyway...
Our music was loud. Probably forgivable for Fourth of July weekend initially but as it got later we were admittedly a bit much and somewhere in the 11:00 hour, Walton County's finest were called to assist in asking us to turn it down/shut it down.
Just wanted to share that the deputy handled it really well. Totally cool about it. It made me feel good that this is who is serving and protecting us.
About 20 minutes later a different Walton County deputy saw some fireworks in the sky which may or may not have come from our block. So they stopped by and again- were way cool.
Were we in the wrong for the music after 10? Yep. If illegal fireworks were being shot off, were we breaking the law? Yep.
But the deputies that came over didn't make mountains out of molehills and we really appreciated how it was all handled.
Apologies to the neightbors. No fireworks or loud music from us tonight...
