Walton County Votes to Keep Confederate Flag Flying

New posts
Leader of nothing, Robert Johnson explained that black people laugh at people like you. You really do not understand why do you? Before judging those Confederate Soldiers who never owned a slave try judging General Sherman and Abraham Lincoln who was aware of rape of both white and black women on Sherman's March thru the South. Oh but that is our history also!

Can't we just let them all burn in hell and get on with it?

Well thought out and skillfully argued again. First call people you don’t agree with a POS and a rapist then follow that up with burn in hell.

You’re a hell of a debater.
Who's debating? I'm just offering my point of view.

I never called anyone a rapist except for my own family member who's grave I would gladly piss on, much like a Confederate statue.

But for the record, a lot of the Confederate slave holders were indeed compulsive slave rapists.

No actual intelligent argument there, I guess.

But I actually thought about what you posted earlier and given that Plantation/Slave owners were exclusively Southern Democrats fighting for the idea of “Jacksonian Democracy” I guess I would agree that they were the family rapists.
“Given that Plantation/Slave owners were exclusively Southern Democrats,” really? Evidence says you’re wrong.

Digs unearth plantations holding slaves in 'free' North

Most Northern states abolished slavery before the Civil War. But recent excavations show that during the late 1700s and early 1800s, many of what later came to be called manors and landed estates were full-fledged plantations that held slaves under conditions similar to those in the South.

What about the non-Confederate slave holders? Were they somehow morally superior if they were from the North? How about our founders who owned slaves: Jefferson, Madison, Washington, Hancock, Franklin etc. It is good that you don't consider it a debate regarding the Confederate Monuments and Confederate flags because your hypocrisy would be exposed.

Almost zero of the Confederate soldiers were slave owners. Your attitude regarding those soldiers is at the least misguided but you indeed have the freedom to type out the most heinous sins of our male gender. We should both be ashamed of that so maybe that is our common ground. Where we differ is on the truth of the moral behaviors of those Confederate soldiers versus anyone else from that era including the Northern soldier. They gave their life for your and my freedom from an intrusive government determined to tax their goods and property until they could no longer afford it. Yes they had prejudice but no more than their northern soldier counterpart. Our civil war history is bent around the slavery issue but it does not tell the real story or the whole story. How would you justify the US soldier given the duty to "rid" the country of "savages". You need a diuretic because when you start pissing on graves you will be at it for a while...

But we didnt go and tear down the concentration camps. Instead they are still standing and were declared World Heritage Sites so that people wouldnt forget. I lived through and witnessed the race riots in Birmingham in 1968 and the name Martin Luther King Jr. reminds me of horrible sights and sounds and seeing humanity at its worst, I will never be able to look a German Shepard dog without hearing them barking and growling and running after people in the streets of the city I grew up in. But you wont see me protesting his name or calling for all those dogs to be wiped off the face of the earth. It was a deeply disturbing time and I dont want anyone to ever forget it.
Concentration camps are not celebrated as part of a proud heritage and, with the exception of redneck trump supporters, Nazi flag bearing people aren’t marching through the streets.
