All of you guys throwing around the "Karen" stuff might want to take note that some women are beginning to think that it should be classified as a racist,sexist,misogynistic slur. When your ancestors are deplorables, you should at least call them out as such. I've already done that with one of mine on this thread.

But you see my ancestors were NOT slave owners nor did they own anywhere near enough land to be considered a plantation so no need to call them out on anything, except being hard-working folks just trying to make a living.

I understand. I'm sure that our country was populated by some immigrants who we fought against in WWII. I know the daughter of someone who fought against us for Germany. He immigrated to the country after the war. I assume he turned out to be a decent person and likely had no choice but to fight for the Nazis. We can't honor their cause just because they might not have been part of the elite. Thing is, Germany has done almost a complete 180 and made every effort to move on. Why can't the South?

Well its not just the memes. It is being tossed around everywhere on a daily basis and definitely fits the definition of a derogatory slur.
