Want to be relevant? Florida Caucus!

New posts
That's why I keep asking people to write Chairwoman Karen Thurman and voice support for a caucus. Otherwise, if you didn't receive an invitation to the Drive the Momentum fundraiser in Miami next week, you really don't matter.

Ahhh...now I am starting to understand. You are much more in the loop as to what is going on behind the scenes than I am.

Now I can see why she is not paying much attention to losing like she did yesterday. These guys are going to keep this sort of stuff up to the point that revolution will be the only option.

jdarg;358720I think the VP pick is going to be the most critical decision for the future of a McCain Presidency.[/[/B said:

I agree. He is palatable now. If he picks Hickabee, he is distasteful.

I guess I run counter to most Florida Republicans; I'd pick Huckabee waaaaaay over Crist. I supported Crist, but since he moved onto N Adams St, I think there are only one or two decisions he has made that I agree with. His only redeeming quality is that he's a Nole.

Well, not really a revolution. Just a gentle wake up call.

An interesting weekend, though, huh? The results for Maine just came in. Obama was down by 37 points three weeks ago. He just won Maine by 18. That's +55 in less than a month. Obama may not do it for you, but you've gotta admire that number.

He is energizing a group like nothing I have ever seen. Certainly going to be interesting what all happens between now and March 4th. We all know the Clintons will be doing something underhanded.

I'd just like to point out that she lost VA, MD, and DC last night and capped it off with a big old rally in Texas without missing a beat.

She also has Julian Band, of the NAACP, trying to say that not seating the Michigan and Florida delegates amounts to disenfranchisement of their minority populations.

I assure you the only way I'll feel marginalized is if those delegates are seated.

Incidentally, the delegates will be elected March 1. Anyone interested?

There is no way Michigan is happening. She was the only big name on the ballot! I need to write my Florida caucus letter (now that I've finished the Big Blue Signs letter -- what a week!). I'm hoping it won't come down to Flori-duh though. There was a superdelegate on CNN last night saying he thinks that the superdelegates won't end up mattering as much as people think, that the race will be locked up by the convention. Texas may end up deciding it all.

Incidentally -- speaking of Florida -- if Obama is the nominee, the anti gay marriage amendment on the November ballot is going to be dead in the water.

I'm hoping this is the case with Texas' Clinton voters. Not solidly behind her. And I do find that to be true around the lunch table at work. A few weeks back we had 3 supporting Hillary, 1 Obama, and 1 Republican. One of these is a 50 some year old retired football coach/history teacher who was for Clinton, then Obama, and then after listening to her in a debate was leaning back towards her again. I'm pretty sure he'll be an Obama man in the end.:idontno: One is an early 30s black lady favoring Clinton but has now switched to Obama. The only Hillary holdout is a 60 year old female business owner and she says she would be OK with Obama or McCain.

I think Obama can do far better than expected in Texas! Especially with those who are not solidly with Clinton. And the whopping wins yesterday have to help!

I've ordered bumper stickers for our cars but they haven't arrived yet. :(
