Weather Radio(s) For Sale

I have two brand new portable weather radios for sale. Oregon Scientific, model WR601 with SAME technology (SAME allows you to program the radio for your area so you are not bombarded with alerts from elsewhere).

I received them earlier this week, but have no need for them as I already have a weather radio. One is still in the original packing, the other was opened and initially programmed the day they arrived, but has not been used since. I have all the instruction documentation, AC power supply and stand (everything that came with it) for both of them--including the one that was opened.

I paid $34.95 each plus $6.47 each for shipping and handling and will let them go at that price (i.e. $41.42 apiece or $82.85 for the pair). I have the original invoice which shows the cost. I'm not trying to make a profit on them, I just don't need them.

I would prefer to sell as a pair, but will sell individually. If individually, I would prefer to sell the opened one first, as I may put the other on EBay if there is no interest.

I have one already, but was confused as to why you bought them if you already had one? Or, did a family member, using your wallet, buy them for you as a gift? That happens sometimes.

I bought them because they are portables and I envisioned my wife and I carrying them with us when prepping for storms on 30A. After thinking about it (prior to their arrival but after they had been shipped) we decided it was not a practical idea. The lesson there is to think about these things BEFORE you hit the "Check Out Now" button on websites.

Also, the one we already have is a 'desktop' type which I had thought I would get rid of once these arrived. But, after thinking about that as well, I decided, for our circumstances at least, I preferred a desktop to a portable. Again, should have thought before I acted.

Depending on the store, even if it is on the internet, they might take them back and refund your money if returned within 10 days. Just a thought.

They might. I'll probably give them a call tomorrow (they only take phone calls Monday - Friday). I suspect they'll take the unopened one back, but not the other.

If anyone here wants them, though, it'll save me the trouble of packing them up and shipping them back.
