I love FireFox, but I don't think it is owned by Google unless there was a recent takeover. I hate Explorer for many reasons. Only on a few pages which I use, does FireFox not work well, so I keep Explorer on my desk top just in case, but I rarely use it. Firefox is much more user friendly, and blocks all pop-ups extremely well. IUnplugged said:Techies: which browser do you use? As you may know, Google just started pushing their free Firefox browser. Is this worth considering? Anyone currently using it? Pros VS cons?
FireFox and have been pushing it since I began using it over a year ago.Great - thanks John R. Was hoping for some positive feedback. There's really no down-side, huh?? Google was promoting it on their home page this morning - did they purchase it, or do they somehow have a hand in it?John R said:google?

ECAR's site just gets a bit scramble with some of the info, but it is usually not enough to worry me. Also, the pop up blocker works so well that you have to look for the bar across the bar telling you that a pop-up was blocked. Even though I have ECAR as a site not to block from, it still blocks the pop-ups, which are most often notices of your listing expiring or messages regarding ECAR or mls. I keep up with all my listings so I really don't need the reminders and I stay very up to date with the mls, so I typically know about the information they post before they post it. Therefore, I really don't have any problems with FireFox. I think the novice computer users and non-techies, are the people who would most benefit from using Firefox due to its user-friendly style. Once you go to FireFox, you will never go back to IE. They also have an free email program, but I use yahoo's.Unplugged said:Great - thanks John R. Was hoping for some positive feedback. <edit> uh, oh - thanks for that warning about ECAR SJ. As you know, I'm a heavy user of that site as are you. Hmmm, I may proceed with caution...
