i was surprised, the wedding in the house in front of us seemed to actually be pretty tame. they had about 5 cases of corona, 5 cases of corono light, and 3 cases of heineken stacked up, and soft drinks and other cans of beer in tubs filled with ice. the festivities started at 4:30 or so the dude i asked told me. we were coming home from supper about 9:30 and way off in the distance heading up 30a we saw fireworks. we jokingly said it's probably the wedding festivities. it was. they were huge fireworks too, way up in the sky. they had a huge tent set up to the side of the house with a dj, and lots of loud music, a blend of country and rock. lots of singing along with the songs. the good thing is they promptly stopped about 11 pm, and instantly quieted down. this caused mr audie and i to have several questions:
do you need a permit to have a big shebang like this on the beach with rented tents, etc ?
oh yeah, i forgot the boardwalk to the beach - they put little white bags with candles in them, luminaries i think they are called, and tiki torches all along the boardwalk - and i am assuming the bride and groom walked up the boardwalk to the party because when we went to the beach this morning it was covered with birdseed all the way down it. of course they didn't sweep it off...
another question - aren't fireworks against the law, no exceptions, on the beach ?
