What are your summer vacation plans?

[Mermaid]

Other than going to the beach, of course. ;-) We're heading down in June but I'm hoping for a weekend in Chicago in mid-July. There's a Stephen Sondheim music festival in Grant Park and we plan on being there. I'm in sticker shock about the summer hotel rates, though. I have some serious internet hunting to do!!

How about you?

Gestate. Wish I had a pool in the back yard to just float in all day!

We want to get to the beach for a week too, but we'll probably wait till the last minute to decide when, since we want to work around our bookings. I also told my husband I desperately need and deserve a girl's trip. Any ideas for that one? My second trimester ends in early July so I'll probably try to go somewhere in June. But where? Freedom confuses me.

Rumor has it you'll do a little drive by vacationing in the Metro Atlanta area, as well. Any truth to that? ;-)

[shakennotstirred]

Hilton Head for a week in July - I have already told myself to lower my expectations - won't be the same water/beach as SoWal. And possibly Atlanta for a long weekend in June to visit friends.

You betcha, GTTBM! That's in the works for before or after the June Seagrove Beach vacation. There's someone special I want to see...
