What is that noise?

Beach Runner

beats on hood
I keep hearing something that sounds like thunder, but yet it doesn't have the rhythm of thunder. It sounds like explosions. It started at 4:19 CDT.

It's not me going crazy -- hubby and dog hear it, too.:funn:

This reminds me one some dialogue in one of my favorite holiday movies...

"What's that sound? Do you hear it? It's a funny squeeking sound."

"You couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant!"

And Skunky, think they're doing nuclear testing underground at Eglin to get ready to hit North Korea? JK. I think not.

Hey, I gotta admit, if I had a bunch of bombs and a testing range, I might crack open a beer and set a few off on a crisp fall Friday afternoon!

On a tangent here...but, my parents have a stacked stone wall surrounding one side of their driveway. One summer when I was about 10, there was a very large colony of yellowjackets in the wall, they would crawl out of every crack and cervice, so I centralized the main entrance to the nest, took some fire works, poured some gasoline on the them and doused a string in some gas and fed it into the firecracker pile, lit it and KABOOM!!! it blew a small crack in one of the rocks and set a large fire in the cracks of the wall--yellowjackets went everywhere and some were on fire flying out of this thing! To this day 14 years later there are still some charred areas of the wall as a reminder of something so stupid.

I heard something when I left work, but it was SWHS's drum corps rehearsing.

They sounded pretty good, too!
