Suncat - last night when I found it on the web, I played it several times until the kids started complaining!

I'm so pleased that someone else appreciates this song - from the first time I heard it (I had the cassette long before I replaced it with a CD last year) I couldn't believe that it wasn't more popular - just an incredibly beautiful song with an equally beautiful message. When she sings that line, "but just like the men who crossed the desert in the dark, they just kept on following that star" I get goosebumps!

I love jazz. For some reason I can't play this one. I think GTTBD has been a software update on my PC. I may just have to make a trip to Best Buy and give this CD a try. Thanks for letting me know about this one. :clap_1:

I don't think you'll be disappointed...great singer, great lyrics. Like lindabobhat, it just gives me goosebumps.

I hear ya! I am somewhat amused and somewhat horrified by the controversy that the simple word "Christmas" brings up. Though I suppose I shouldn't be. Christ has always been controversial.

What's up with this "HOLIDAY TREE" stuff? Me thinks this is another form of pc terrorism.

We get those calls at Macy's all the time. We've brough Christmas back in.

I love Amy Grant's "Grownup Christmas List" and think Bare Naked Ladies "Christmakuh" sp??? is fun.

Could live without "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time".

MARY DID YOU KNOW?

I need to get my Christmas music out!!!! Waaaaaaay behind!!!

I think there is a universal dislike of "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time"! With good reason- it is a lousy song!

Try listening to Travis Tritt's new Christmas CD. I had to give him a plug, he is family.

Just kidding! I love TT. How are you related?

Least - Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time. Closely followed by the Cheech & Chong song.

Favorites - Well, of COURSE all the hymns. However, Alabama's "Christmas in Dixie" has a very special place in my heart...as does Elton John's "Step Into Christmas."
