What to do beyond the typical touristy stuff??

We would drive west to Mexico beach to look for shells. We would see dolphinsmore frequently also. It is a long drivebut but it's always fun to explore. Pcb has really changed. Nothing remains that our children remember.

Definitely visit Eden State Park. In our 30 plus years of coming to the area, we have missed visiting this gem.

I am only sorry we did not do this sooner.

Deli Love had some great suggestions for Seaside. The banana pudding at Modica is worth a trip, and Fire It Up is definitely a fun spot on a rainy or very hot afternoon, to make a lasting memory of the trip.

I agree, a trip down Econfina through all those really beautiful cool springs is just about my favorite thing to do each summer...besides the beach of course. Google Econfina Canoe Livery. Not suggested for families with very young children, it is a bit of a paddle.
