What was your best day ever?

Bet most of you will say it was on the beach--mine was.
My son, daughter and daughter's best friend and I went to the beach early--around 9. Hubby brought Corona at noon. Played Yahtzee all afternoon, drank, swam, walked on the beach (weather was perfect), got sunburned. It was just one of those rare days after your children grow up that you get to spend some quality time with them. I'll never be able to re-capture it, but it remains the best day ever! :D

a long and lazy day at the beach with beer and loved ones (in that order) sounds like the best of days.

I'll have to think on that one. It's hard to decide such a day... hmmmmmmm...

The days I had my two babies. I love watching them grow up (so far, so good).

I'd have to agree with Paula but I would say one of the days we had this past August would be a close second. Perfect weather, white fluffy sand, clear water, family and excellent food...all in one perfect day.

Everyday that the man up above gives me, is my best day ever!!! Oh, and being at the beach anyday with friends and family!!!!

One's best day should not be a day from the past. Memories are great to have, but so much potential lies in today and the future.

Agreed. And my daughters have given me joy over and over and over again and they're still young -- we still get to see the rest of middle school, high school, college (we hope), and the rest of their lives visiting us, bringing new people to our family, exposing us to different parts of the world through their eyes, etc.

I definitely don't live my life through the girls (I have a job I truly enjoy, the cottages in SoWal are fantastic with or without the girls, I get to the beach by myself and with friends often enough, I spend lots of time on this message board, I have great friends locally, lots of hobbies, I travel a little bit for work, and I like time alone -- my older daughter loves it that I "have a life" so I don't get overly involved in her's) but when all is said and done, my greatest and deepest moments are connected to them, past, present and future. I'm part Italian so that probably explains it to some degree!

That sounds like a nice balance Paula. It's hard to accomplish and I salute you! :clap_1:
