They seem top be taking over the roads. I mean I don't see to many golf courses on 30A. Are we too fat to walk anymore? :D

Seriously, is it cool to have them on the road? Does every rental have them now?

True golf carts are not legal on both the roads and bike path. That being said, it does seem that they are increasingly prevalent ( many times piloted by juveniles ) and just another indication ( IMO ) of the rental property owners, and their agents, disregard for the law in pursuit of dollars by providing these in rentals. Only LSV rentals should be allowed even for interior road use to stem the tide and a "take no prisoners policy" on the part of our police dept. when they see golf carts on the road. SOWAL is going to he== in a handbasket as they say one step at a time.

Golf carts have been around for a long time, there has just been a big increase in idiotic usage lately.

Part of the problem is that someone started a business providing "street legal carts" so 1) people get those and treat the highways like a cart path with unrestrained toddlers hanging off the sides and kids driving them 2) idiots see people with the street legal carts and think they can drive any golf cart on the roads.

Part of the problem is that people are too lazy to walk.

Part of the problem is that "beach" houses keep getting built farther and farther from the beach.

Part of the problem is that the area keeps growing so it multiplies any problem

..and the entitlement attitude exhibited by too many tourists even when they do read the signs on the bike path ( silly me, reading signs becomes a lost art when more than a few miles from home ). Excuse my rant, but after 10 years working in the hospitality industry here, the level of respect for what we have here by visitors has declined exponentially.

Seems fun. I was wondering if they were getting to be expected with a rental these days like flat screen TVs and bikes.
