I'll think of more, but one song tht says it all to me is:

"The Circle Game"...Joni Mitchell

that woman can write a song!

I can't pick one song!

middle school- "Grease" soundtrack

High school- Stones "Start me Up", Van Halen "Panama", all CSN, all Carolina beach music

College- The White Animals "dread" version of "Gloria", REM "Carnival of Sorts", anything Neil Young

Music to clean the house to- old school funk

Listened to yesterday- Hillary Duff- not by choice- Kate thinks she is Hillary and sings the songs in the car

I know I know- but this girl child of mine has definite likes and dislikes in music. God only knows what we will be listening to in the future. My son was easily warped by us- he still likes the music we like. We never gave him an alternative! So now he looks down on anything attached to sagging pants and gold chains, and likes music with musicians!

Can't believe no one has listed "Margaritaville" That song always makes me feel good.
The song, or the subject matter? ;-)

You just need some time. Read some of the replies for inspiration!

I did that already. Nothing like those are ringing a bell. I am leaning toward Miles Davis, and he does not sing, but I think his music says more than words. Talk about never knowing what may be around the corner. Miles' music gets in my blood and makes me want to think outside the box.
