So glad that your daughters made it home safely. I know that must have scared them. I am 44 years old, and my father still worries about me driving. I am sure I will be the same with my son starts driving!!

Isn't nice to be loved. My husband always gives the girls spending money and fills their car up with gas when they leave. Sweet gestures.

Just needed to say how grateful I am for my daughters returning to NC safely. They were in a 5 car wreck ( rear-ended) and were not hurt. They were the only car to drive away. God is good! I guess I will never quit worrying about them. At least they were together which provide support and comfort.

Whew is right! that makes my heart skip a beat. Lightning striking the plane too.... so scary.

SS,
Won't Molly paw at the braces and bands? How does that work for a dog?
I guess she'll just get used to them.

She'll do great 'cause she'll have sooo much love and attention from her people!

May the Driving Angels be along for the ride with you, Mermaid! The house always feels a little lonely after MS leaves. But he'll be back in less than three weeks for a month, as I am sure yours will be!

Guess I'll post it here since WHEW is what I'll be saying later today. I am doing my best to not make eye contact with Molly this morning. Remember the overbite? Well, I haven't been able to mention it (DENIAL!)...today is the day she goes in for, yes my friends, BRACES!! She has lower canine teeth that are growing in straight up instead of splayed out and they are hitting the roof of her mouth (poor baby!). The solution is to place brackets on the canines and a back tooth with a "power chain" attached that will need to be adjusted every week to 10 days. This will take 3 - 5 months! She also has an upper canine distortion and I was so overwhelmed at the dog dentist that day that I can't even remember what is being done about that. I can't feed her this morning and therefore I can't look at her!!! I just try to remember how blessed I am that we have the resources and the time to do this for her. I know all my sowalers will send good thoughts to Molly today although I am the one that needs the sedative!!!!
That happened to my puppy, and we were lined up with an appointment with a doggy orthodontist, but then miraculously the tooth that was digging into her upper mouth straightened out and grew in normally. If I hadn't waited a month (as the local vet had suggested), poor baby would have been in a boatload of misery due to surgery, and I would have spent a boatload of money (yes, we were talking doggy braces).

Sorry that didn't work out for your pup.

Thanks BR. In fact, we are just now working on the top canines and after they are fixed we go to the bottom ones!! My vet took one look in her mouth and sent me home directly to call and make the dentist appt.! I don't know about y'all, but I have NEVER heard of braces/rubber bands on a dog before....I guess you can teach an old Kitty new tricks! Sorry Miss Molly...if you were expecting a L"as" V"egas" luggage collar, you are clean out of luck!!! maybe a designer one form Mr. Isaac at Target will do?

How is Molly this morning? Ihope she rested well and her teeth do not hurt too much. Dogs are so pitiful when they moan and hurt.

Molly is fine. Her mom is exhausted from cleaning up post surgery tummyitis! She just ate a scrambled egg and is playing with ONE of her many new soft toys. She has pawed at her mouth a few times, but other than that, she just wants to eat!

Oh Miss Kitty! I missed this post because it was in a traveling thread!! I'll keep reading but I know in my heart that Molly is fine and you have perfect peace now that it is all over. I noticed earlier that you only slept about three hours last night  I would be a zombie. Have a great day! :D

Darlene...the sweetest thing is when your daddy tries to buy you gas at the age of 50!!!! I swear, it happens!!!

Suncat...thanks for thinking of all the travelers and my dog who has braces and purple rubber bands...I AM NOT KIDDING!!!

My dear, sweet Daddy who passed away last year always bought my gas when I visited them ( and I am your age.)

Purple rubber bands!!! I love it!!! :clap_1: Hope her mouth isn't sore...I remember my braces as a teen and both of my children had them. Doggie ones are probably different though.
