You mean that not all married women have a HMM? Beach Runner says her's stands around 6'8" and weighs in around 285#. Maybe her hubby is a mere husband. :idontno:
He played varsity basketball at Tulane and was recruited by the Dallas Cowboys upon graduation. He's a big ol' smart guy. He decided to use his intellect rather than his size to make a living. One injury as an athlete could kill your career, more likely than something destroying one's intellect, as in he made a perfect score on the SAT, has many patents, etc.

BTW *it* is proportional to height and shoe size. :floor:

They have sports at MIT? :floor:
Sort of. They're Div. III, so no one gets athletic scholarships. Each day during my daughter's freshman orientation (they don't get their permanent rooms until after orientation, so many parents hang around to help with the move in), I ran around the sports facilities four times to get in my four miles per day. One day I got online to find out where they play football. It was Steinbrenner Stadium, and I looked at the campus map to see that it was in the area where I ran every day. Turns out that their football field has metal bleachers that seat about 50.

My daughter was the only post player on the women's varsity basketball team. When she hurt her back, they were out of luck. I think they lost all of their games that year.

They do get fired up about their water polo. My daughter hates spectator sports, but she never missed water polo, especially against their biggest rival, Harvard. One of her fondest memories at MIT was an MIT/Harvard game when MIT won and the Beavers all went wild and yelled over to the Harvard kids, "Safety school! Safety school!" As in, Harvard is the backup school in case you can't get into MIT. Actually there's truth in that. MIT admits totally on merit; Harvard's first priority is admitting legacies.
