Couldn't help thinking how much this article reminded me of what goes on in SOWAL when it comes to rental property owners, VRBO especially. At least county gov't seems to be getting it right with the push to register rental owners. I especially liked the comment regarding making sure there is enough parking for the project. The bait and switch played around here whereby a project is approved say as a 3 BR + media room + library but as soon as it is built it is marketed as as 5BR with a wink and nod to the buyers. Overflow parking is then often in the right of way. Copy and paste link below.

I call the excuse that they don't know about the taxes or it's too difficult BS. They don't care about the community, they just want to make as much money as possible.

Breckenridge is a typical resort town - people don't follow the rules and then when caught they complain and whine about unfairness.
