Well, you see, something catastrophic like that would never happen to any self-respecting couch potato.

That was the kind of funny that you kinda hate yourself for laughing at because it's really not funny but at the same time it's hilariously funny. I hope the poor guy's not badly injured. (Though you have to wonder what kind of fools would sign up for a race in Chicago in October! I mean, give me a break: the weather up there is precarious at best in the autumn. You're always taking a risk that it might be super crappy, as it evidently was. No wonder he fell, and it's a wonder he was the only one who did. )

poor guy, but he's a winner and he'll be fine... yes, most of us are very safe and warm as we recline on the sofa and watch the world from our TV's.

I think it is funny that he would go all that way and then slip at the finish line. maybe not laugh funny, but just weird funny.
