SoWell on Sowal

No scale needed. I just have a closet full of clothes that don't fit.:pissed:

Monday morning 5 am. Pilates at home, 40 minute walk before Bdarg goes to work. NO FOOD. NO WINE. :( :( :( (Hard core, I know, but necessary.) The T-givng leftovers went in the freezer or garbage today. Goal? Back in my clothes in 3 weeks. The thought of buying bigger clothes is just too much to bear. :bang:

Maybe we need to start a before Christmas boot camp thread.:(

 great idea! I would rather go to boot camp than pull out all the boxes of decorations, wrap presents, and finish shopping...

OK, I'm up 2.5 pounds, back to where I started when I started SoWell on SoWal. Oh well....

But, I feel I've made some good healthy changes due to SoWell so I'm fine anyway... I don't drink much soda at all any more (I used to drink diet soda) and drink water instead, I'm eating more fruits and vegetables, I'm sleeping very well, and I'm generally calmer. I'm back to walking to work (just a little, though I want to increase it) and I'm hoping to increase the walking to a little bit every day (including today). Some of these changes (e.g., the "being calmer" one) have to do with that reading I posted in late October about personal change. It really did have an impact on me, especially since I know the guy and he must have lost over 100 pounds in two years.

If I lost 10 lbs altogether I'd be in the "normal range" based on one of the earlier links someone posted (thanks!), so I figure that is certainly do-able. I need to cut out eating 100 calories a day and increase activity to burn off an extra 100 calories a day and those would be enough lifestyle changes to take off those 10 lbs this year. You wouldn't think it would be that hard, but it seems to be!

paula: not bad. not bad atall! :clap_1: I can tell by the way my clothes fit that I've gained at least that much, if not more. my guess is 5 pounds. not good for a five footer... :(

but back to yoga tomorrow morning and hopefully some motivation following that class...

I never got around to weighing today--imagine that! I know my clothes fit a little tighter too....:bang:

I'm not weighing until Friday AM. I'm scared to do it today.

I'm with you. Decided to eat whatever I wanted this past weekend and now I need to be good this week. I'll weigh myself once I feel like my clothes are fitting normally again. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving - guess we all had enough to eat!

Wow, thanks, Toots and Lindabobhat, for making my 2.5 weight gain feel like a success! I'm definitely feeling good about it now!

Ate well today, though. A whole wheat english muffin and capuccino with skim milk and splenda for breakfast, a healthy choice pizza for lunch, and home-made ministrone and grapes for dinner. That's all I ate today. Now I'll go watch the bachelor with the kids and I'll try to eat well the rest of the week.

And, though I didn't walk, I puttered around the house big-time today so I'm exhausted and must have burned off that extra 100 calories.

Those of you who are actually exercising regulary are definitely an inspiration (but I guess we live too far apart for the exercise but to rub off on me)!
