SoWell on Sowal

Wow, thanks, Toots and Lindabobhat, for making my 2.5 weight gain feel like a success! I'm definitely feeling good about it now!

Ate well today, though. A whole wheat english muffin and capuccino with skim milk and splenda for breakfast, a healthy choice pizza for lunch, and home-made ministrone and grapes for dinner. That's all I ate today. Now I'll go watch the bachelor with the kids and I'll try to eat well the rest of the week.

And, though I didn't walk, I puttered around the house big-time today so I'm exhausted and must have burned off that extra 100 calories.

Those of you who are actually exercising regulary are definitely an inspiration (but I guess we live too far apart for the exercise but to rub off on me)!

Well I continued my unhealthy eating through today Paula, so you are one up on me. And I haven't exercised vigorously since my surgery almost 3 weeks ago - I've been having really bad dizzy spells and I'm using that as my excuse. Need to get back into my exemplary behavior!

 I'm not sure what's going on here but the scales show I lost a pound!:funn: I'm going with it though!!! I ate everything you could imagine and also chocolate pie for breafast every day until it was gone!

Life is good

Cannot bring myself to weigh, but my work clothes still fit:D . Just wish my weekend jeans were not so snug. :bang:

Today was a good day. Cereal and milk for breakfast, salad and fruit for lunch, and Lean Quisine for dinner. A snack of cheese and nuts rounds off the night. May willpower continue tomorrow!:funn:

I was good yesterday. Stayed under 1000 calories and walked for 45 minutes. I don't have any wine in the house, so I won't be tempted this week while hubby is in Australia.

Also, we're guests of a new president at my husband's company for the SEC Championship (clubhouse seats :clap_1: ). He's a huge Gator fan (got his Ph.D. there just like we did). I want to make a good first impression and not look like a lard a$$. Note to self: don't indulge in the free liquour that'll be there to avoid saying something stupid.:bang:

:clap_1: you all sounds like you are on the right track to health and fitness!

Cravings are driving me crazy. After a weekend of heavy eating, I spend too much time trying to find something to satisfy that does not involve sugar or lots of fat. Suggestions???? I think I will just go to bed and sleep!

Man, I sure had to dig to find this! I am putting the sowell on sowal world on notice. Come Jan. 8....this is a priority.

Anyone interested in running 3-4 times a week? I need someone committed to run with me, short of hiring a personal trainer, which I can't afford to do. This person will have to be diciplined which I'm not, unless I have to account to someone, I will talk myself out of running. I have gained 5-7 lbs., depending on the day, and running seems to be the only thing that keeps my eating in balance. I would be available after kids are in school. I am down to one pair of jeans that still fit, those of you who know me, and see me wearing the same pants, now you know why!

Looks like this thread could use a little revival heading into the holidays. Guess I've waited long enough to share my before and after pics. Dare I admit it, in the before shot I weighed 290 lbs. The after shot was taken tonight and I am now at 165 lbs.
