I'm in Seagrove. Go to the bridge in Destin or go through Freeport? Also, whats it like early in the morning versus after lunch. I'm thinking about playing golf at Eglin.

North on 331, left on FL 20.

Freeport. You'll get stuck behind a slow vehicle on 20 once in a while, but the lack of lights and traffic more than makes up for that.

331 to 20. It just took me about 45 minutes to just get to the Commons.

I'll be the rebel here. I always take the mid-bay bridge, unless I know of an accident enroute, or if it's high July traffic, and rain. I drove Hwy 20 to Niceville and back literally hundreds of times while attending OWCC and later UWF in Ft Walton, and the thought of driving 20 to Niceville now makes my ears want to bleed.

Plus, it's embarrassing when you leave for a ball game in Niceville 15 minutes before the team bus does, and the bus beats you there by 10...

;-) Kinda like today?? But there is Road work being done around Seascape, so that is either equal to or will at some point cause the accident you speak of.

I drove to the airport yesterday around 12:30. I went on the Mid Bay bridge. It was not a bad drive at all....any way you go it will take you an hour, or more. :idontno:

Only a word of caution taking 331/20 route:
1 - forget about cell phone reception on a lot of 20 out that way
2 - if you go at night this is one dark and lonely stretch of road (see 1 above if you break down)
