Florida's Turnpike and the assorted participating bridge authorities in the program actually prefer it when out of state folks go the SunPass route because it improves traffic flow and decreases toll booth staffing needs.

There is no 'qualify' for Sun Pass. Pay the fee for a transponder or one of the new bar codes, put like $25 in the account, and you're good to go for $1.50 bridge tolls.

This is a very convenient way to go to Eglin{through Niceville) and ends up being realitvely inexpensive. Once the $25.00 is made a renewable sum via credit card, it renews automatically at $10.00 or below.

For real...like at the WC Publix? I remember someone telling me only the Publix across from Destin Commons sold them. This is exciting news! Yes, it doesn't take much to make me giddy these days!

Not sure of the WC Publix, but I know that they sell them at the customer service counter at the SanDestin Publix. Couldn't hurt to ask.
