The scary part is that one day, Montessori will again outgrow the space - and since a change of use designation is already in place, what is to prevent a different type of less desirable establishment from opening in its place?

Lastly...Point Washington does not need to be "redeveloped." It is perfect the way it is.

Agree - it is a very small area around Eden State Gardens that is being discussed to limit density a bit by friendly neighbors with the best of intentions. SN, from what I understand, because of the TND zoning that was in place, the property was already open to being used for many different types of businesses which could possibly have had a less desirable impact than a school. Traffic and parking is a legit concern which is being dealt with properly.

TND is designated for 60 or more acres to be developed, as a town, such as Seaside. Not for a parcel of land less than 1 acre. The county has admitted making a mistake, but they won't take back their mistake.:bang: Unfortunately, this mistake is causing much hardship for the school and the residents of our community. We all want to be good neighbors, but the school should never have been permitted without notifying the neighbors and going through a Development Order, which the school is doing now, but being rushed through by the county, again, (because they are covering their behinds) without proper notice to the neighbors.

If the DO process had been done correctly in the first place, we would not be in the position that all of us are in now.
