I have been a Seminole fan since way before Bobby Bowden ever came to town. I have watched virtually every FSU-Miami game for the past two decades or more. Can anyone tell me why I keep doing this? Why do I completely get stressed out and pace up and down and agonize over every last second in the final moments of every game? Is there a group therapy session we can attend to cope with this, or are we going to have to fool ourselves into thinking it will be different next year? My heart can't take this anymore... :bang:

sorry for your pain lvt. I'm a fan of FSU also!
I've been to several games in Tally and fsu fans were so friendly and nice to us. Yes, we lost both games by like 50 pts and walking back to car , we got no rude remarks typical of fans from other big sec schools. FSU also came to Hattiesburg,MS to play us on our field, something unheard of from teams like Ole Miss, Ms State, ALA,Auburn ,Georgia,and Tenn. (yes USM has played all of these and beat a good many of them)

its time for bobby to retire. that was some of the poorest coaching i've ever seen last night the last 1:44. they flashed the camera on bobby and he looked confused. he's not even in the huddle and looked out of place. they had more than enough time to score but due to poor execution on the last 5 plays they were rushed each and every play as the play clock was winding down each time.that was there game to win. best thing that can happen to bobby is those victories that the ncaa took stay that way and he'll have no reason to stay past this year.i love bobby and he's one of the all time greats but its time for him to enjoy his life with this family

The good news is that Bowden's retirement is a given. The bad news is that his replacements were running the show at the end of the game. You could always jump on the Gator bandwagon this year if you want wins.:biggrin:

I've noticed for a long time now that , in crucial situations, they try to substitute "red zone" players, both offensively and defensely, with the inherent time and confusion that involves. It always seems to go wrong. I think you should go with your best 11 players and let your momentum take you into the endzone. As to Skunk's idea of "going Gator", I cannot support a team that eats human babies and whose quarterback is a flaming gay.(No offense to homosexuals.) :floor::floor::floor:

Bobby should be able to stay as long as he wants - where is your loyalty man??!!!!!

You're soooooooo bad. How bout that 600+yards on offense. Are you skeered? Western Kentucky can beat Charleston Southern :leaving:

After an exhausting 36 hours in Tallahassee, I have some reflections for you...
At least when watching on TV, you can turn it off and not have to see and listen to hordes of Miami fans...and you can go to bed, instead of sitting in traffic for almost two hours trying to get out of Booster parking and negotiate Tennessee Street (no joke - since it was tense, nobody left early. It was two o'clock before we got to the hotel!)

Good news...the sportsmanship "meeting" of the teams at midfield may have had an effect. I did not see any fights on the field, nor did I see any in the stands. I saw a lot of good-natured jawing (of course, I don't sit near the visitor section and am a bit removed from the students ;-)). I also heard a LOT of "good game, guys" from Miami fans, all the way out of the stadium and into the traffic jam. That is a first. Of course, many of their bandwagon fans have left, as have ours. Quite honestly, this was the most exciting, most electric, most evenly matched, and CLEANEST game I've ever seen between the two. I wish we had won.

And I am extremely grateful that we did not put our freshman kicker into a position to kick a wide field goal at the end of the game. If we are going to lose to Miami, let it be the way we did last night and not due to something that will be replayed over and over ad nauseum for the next fifteen years. :roll:

OK, now it's Week 2, and in the 3rd quarter, we absolutely suck.

:eek::bang::pissed::angry::whack::puke::trainwreck:

EDIT: we just blocked something. Maybe that will help.

ESPN360 is running three full plays behind the broadcast on the radio. I'm getting a migrane. Jeez....

FINAL EDIT: omg that was horrible but at least we won. Ponder played well, Perriloux played extremely well. I am dry and full and don't have a three-hour drive ahead, but I hope my nephew doesn't want a refund -

It was truly a miserable game... we have to have the most bi-polar team in history... they're up, they're down, they're good, they're bad... and we have to ride the roller coaster.:bang:
