You might then explain to me why he was there for over five years? I know of no journalist who has either been misled on facts or misquoted someone in their careers. I am glad you enjoy the paper but I'll pass, thank you.

There is always more to a situation--I think the person who owns the company gets to decide who works there or who continues to work there...and, in this case, who speaks for his publication...just as it is our choice to read it or not...

Oh, I know (hence my subscription to the Defuniak Herald) - but slamming the Olympics and gay bashing athletes goes far beyond the usual unreadable pablum of social calendar reporting/local squabbles/recycled content that is now the Sun norm. :angry:

I'm fairly certain that this diatribe against the Olympics complete with gay bashing (I won't bore everyone with a long list of Olympic Gold Medal holding homosexuals) is nothing more than an effort at causing a stir and desperately trying to save a dieing relic.

From what I hear Hart is the top rated columnist at the Walton Sun and Destin Log. Many of us love his wit an humor. He took a chance on the Olympic column but that is his view.

They know what they are doing with Hart. He appeals to successful business folks who vacation here.

I love him.

Glad someone likes his writing - I am not a regular reader of the Sun (anymore) and that column certainly hit a sour note with me, :angry: not to mention others I talked to whose responses were not as PG as mine!

Shows what you know. He is big time. I saw him on News View with Lee Sullivan once. I think he made jokes about Bay County's school board. SWGB probably recorded it, it is his favorite TV program.

Hart is a regular guest of Lee Sullivan and is darn funny on the show. Most really like him, he takes on tough subject and is equally tough on Bush and Obama.

He reminds me of PJ O'Rourke. And he is cute.
