UPDATE (for those who give a rat's a$$):
Only five weeks (minus one day) left in Lent. I am not at a straightjacket yet.We have not cheated. We couldn't even eat at Chan's because it's sort of an oxymoron to go to a wine bar and drink Diet Coke.
We've decided that if we give up alcohol during the next Lenten season, we'll have a SoWal exception ;-), especially since my spring break next year is a few weeks before Easter (4/24/2011).![]()

I've actually been pretty good with mine too. Not craving sugar too bad. Floured and fried stuff--oh yeah.

Yuck. Diet Coke is better. Actually we had S. Pellegrino at Pizza Bar. That was better than having a sweet Diet Coke, yet it had fizz.
Ask your server at Chan's for a sparkling grape juice.
Thanks.Well, I give a rat's ass, BR. Good for you!!! I was all happy til you reminded me that there's five more freakin' weeks!!I've actually been pretty good with mine too. Not craving sugar too bad. Floured and fried stuff--oh yeah.
I can understand your reluctance to go to the wine bar...why tempt fate?
I'm very proud of you and Big D and I hope you keep checking back in.![]()
Naysty is right. I'd rather eat cardboard.oK. I just ate some whole wheat pasta. One word - naysty! Don't eat it. Maybe it's good in lasagne all covered up, but nekked, forget it!

I dunno if I could give up white bread -- couldn't do without McD's. You go, girl -- glad you are hanging in there!

Thank you both!! I'm eatin' it, but I hate it. Maybe by the end of Lent, I'll have acquired a taste for it.......not. LuLu, trust me, it's not any better smothered in sauce and cheese.
BR..white bread=![]()
DD. No! Don't eat that rubbery crap! I am thinking about throwing mine out and I never throw any food out. Maybe a crazy neighbor would like to have this barely eaten box of cardboard.
Just don't eat any pasta until Easter. You'll be fine! I promise! ;-)
I've got two boxes of the crap. Think your neighbor would want mine too?
Oh absolutely. There's always a nutbag or two around to eat the rubbery stuff. I'll pick them up from you on my to Arizona. Seems I have a new project! Petrified Wood!![]()
