Batten down the hatches!!!!

Thanks for sharing. The secret is uaually in the simple syrups. My wife boils them on the stove for different drinks and stores them in the fridge. The Thai Basil Ginger is my wife's favorite from Chops 30A.

The easiest way is to infuse (soak crap in) the vodka. The simple syrup will help though with more subtle flavors.

It turned out to be a sensational afternoon for staying in and perfecting my new lavender martini recipe!!
DD ~ you'll love it:clap:

Dreadfully upset that I had no idea this was occurring in my neighborhood yesterday. I would have put on my XtraTuff boots and waded over!

Actually the secret for me is the infused VODKA.
I find simple syrup so gagola sweet that a very little dab does me. I keep reducing the ratio of sugar and it still seems uber-sweet. Maybe I'll try honey instead

Yea Baby!

I thought this thread was about the coming group of Spring Breakers.

Now I want a lavender cocktail!

A good "witch" vehicle, perhaps?

Ya just never know what might be going on down the street when I manage to get motivated to give the butt-dent-recliner a recess!!

I wish I had the makings and that recipe yesterday. My dog does not mind the hard rain, but the thunder and lightening drives him as well as me crazy from all of the high pitched barking and running from room to room (the dog not me). He slept very well last night when he finally went to sleep after it wa all over. Martini, I'll have to remember that next time. It will be good excuse to have one since I have not in sooo long. I might be running around barking with him after about 3 of those or passed out, whichever comes first.

Glad to hear you weren't running from room-to-room barking HB!! Remember, Lavender is known to 'infuse you with peace and inner tranquility'

I was busy pulling my hair out. I think I will have to get some Lavender. I'll try anything to get him to calm down some.

Top of a building downtown was torn off, and two power poles and lines down across a car(lines only) traveling on 90 this afternoon. Glad we had the paper already together.
