It's HOT!

New posts
It was so humid and hot at the beach this weekend that just taking Pepper out for a walk exhausted me. We only went to the beach once, and that was just to walk to the beach, check for erosion (there was none -- yay!), and then walk back to the house and turn on the ceiling fan. And watch football. So Alicia, it's Isaac's fault.

We usually wait until after 6pm to go outdoors. Like tonight. The weather was wonderful out at Deer Lake State Park. We got a talking to by the park ranger for being out there after dark. We know they close at dark but it was hard leaving such a perfect scene.

If you want to go to any parks in Texas in the summer, you often must go after dark! I remember when we moved here it seemed odd to see all these families in the park at 10:00 pm or so. I guess the kids had afternoon naps or slept in or whatever.

Nice sunset, but what are all those tracks in the sand? It looks like machinery tracks.

yes, the beach was scraped after the storm to remove debris, I am guessing.

Do you know if that was along the whole stretch, or limited to Deer Lake? I thought the county agreed they weren't going to attempt seaweed removal.
