Grand jury investigation facts leaking out

New posts
This does not bode well for Ferguson...

"Brown's blood was found on the officer's uniform and inside his police car, law enforcement sources told CNN this week. Those sources corroborated details first reported by The New York Times.
At least one of the wounds Brown suffered is consistent with a struggle and appeared to have been inflicted at close range, according to a different source with first-hand knowledge of the investigation."

Text is down towards the bottom. This lends support to the police version of the events. Time to start boarding up the windows because it's going to get bad...

I haven't followed this very closely, but I had always assumed that there was some sort of physical struggle. This does not exclude the possibility that Brown was subsequently shot while trying to surrender. True, it might be foolish and stupid on Brown's part to fight with a cop in the first place. It's not easy to have sympathy for him, but that still doesn't necessarily let the cop off the hook. I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. Like I said once before, I would make a good juror on a case like this.

Dorian Johnson said there was a struggle with the officer saying he was going to shoot Brown. After the shots were fired and seeing Brown was hit they fled with Johnson ducking behind a car and Brown continuing on past him and hearing shots fired as he ran.

I don't know what happened, but I fail to see how this new information, if true, would be any kind of game changer. If, and I say "if", the officer shot Brown while he knew that Brown was surrendering, that would seem to constitute criminal homicide and Brown's prior actions would be completely irrelvant IMO.

agree completely.. If was an office I would NOT leave precinct without a go pro camera on my chest...

There are reports there are witnesses who back up the officers story. If true then the community should prepare to stand down.

I saw a video on CNN, I believe, that had a work crew in the area during the event. One of the workers specifically states that Brown had his hands up.

Yes, that's true and he was from an out of state work crew. The newest thing I read is there are several residents from the area who were afraid to come forward that have talked to grand jury. I will try to find the link and post it.
