Yes with Fred McMurry. It was a Disney movie. Remember that amazing substance, flubber? The movie taught kids that it's OK to cheat in sports.

It may well be 1970's Scrooge with Albert Finney. I remember the Ghost of Chrstmas Future scared the s**t out of me as a 7 year old.
