My gut tells me yes. Based on the number of lawsuit that seem to occur. If numbers are true and women are paid less than men for same qualifications, then yes. If qualified applicants are not hired based on race or gender and all other thing being equal, then yes. If you are denied admissions to a college based on race, then yes. Thanks for the thought provoking question.
Lets follow the bouncing ball
If all that capitalists care about is money
and women can be paid less money then men
why would companies ever hire men? assuming it is a job both sexes can do.
In my opinion this is one of the dumbest things that the left pushes and they push a lot of dumb ideas
Lets go further
If our society wants to be colorblind (which we should) then lets hire on the biases of merit and hire the best person for each job
Its like when biden said he was going to hire a black woman for VP
Not the best person for the job
Not the best person of color
Not the best woman
and now we have to hear Mrs word salad mput up there try to act intelligent and/or competent
So lets run some math
Lets assume half of the population is women (which is comically getting tougher) 50%
Then lets take into account that about 15% of our population is black
330 million less 50% then 15% of that number leaves about 50k qualified canidates
Now what percentage of all of the black women in America would meet the criteria for even being considered
I don't know this number but I would assume its less then 50 black women in America that fit in the box
Now what percentage of those is on the left?
Point of this exercise is why not hire the best person not the one that checks the most boxes
Just my opinion
