American Idol on Tuesday Night!

[scrltbegonya]

Ok. Taylor Hicks used to play in Auburn at Bourbon Street ALL THE TIME! So funny! We used to go see him on penny liquour nights!

That is Taylor! We went to high school together...He and his band (my best friend's husband is his keyboardist) play at Snapperhead's sometimes and end up staying at my house. Yay Taylor!

All bizarre things aside, I hope everyone got to see the truly divine moment of the evening; when the young girl Paris sang. Let me see if AOL lets me send the link...

I have to say..she was pretty impressive. I do not watch TV...except for HGTV...I just don't find it fulfilling any more..I guess I would rather be obsessive and play on the computer all night (messaging with SoWallers!) or reading a good book, or watching a good DVD...does that make me boring..??? WTF...who cares (I also like a few glasses of vino and then settle down to the computer...or book or DVD..in front of the fire )

[steele mama]

Oh, if that's who it is, I know exactly who it is!
Thanks, Suncat. Looks like mama left the building... ;-)

Yea, my computer at home is still very sick. It was a miracle that I could get that message on. My julie called me late last night and asked me if I saw Idol and I said "Taylor is going to Hollywood!" She's like, how do you know Taylor? I said "How do you know Taylor?" I said he is scarltbegona's friend. She knows her too.
PS Aren't we alllllll crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Taylor is good though. I can't wait to see him in the next round! Now my Julie Bulie is going to have to watch. She is Steeleing2, aka lurker!

Ok. Over NYE I saw that on the marquee and thought that couldn't be the same Taylor from Auburn. But it looks like it is! So cool. Corey Sellers is also an old Auburn Alum that used to play at the Highlands in Auburn. :clap_1:

It has been a while since I have seen Julie...I was wondering which number she belonged to...

I found some pictures from City Stages 2005 in Birmingham and then here in town at Snapperhead's, also that summer. I have an absolutely hilarious video clip of them "practicing" at my house, but it is on the computer at home.

Well, she isn't technically registered as Steeleing2; in fact, I don't think she's registered at all. She's pretty adamant about the fact that IF--big IF--she ever joins us, it'll be waaaaaay incognito.
I do love her so, regardless of that contrary nature of hers... ;-)

Being Sneaky, eh?
