Attention Bama Fans!

New posts
I don't know. With the new 12-game schedule starting next year, everyone is going to play their share of patsies. Alabama's non-conference slate next year is pathetic. I realize you can't play USC and Oklahoma every week, but with four non-conference games instead of three, everyone in the SEC needs to play one tough non-conference game.

As for the AU/FSU thing, my understanding is AU bought out the final game (two games?) of the series (at Tuberville's request). I didn't agree with it, and I think it made AU look bad, but that was a decision made by Tuberville and Housel.

AU did well to play Tech this year, and UT plays Notre Dame this weekend. Bama played Oklahoma a couple years ago and UF plays FSU every year. Yes, you are risking a loss by scheduling a strong non-conference opponent, but IMO, the advantages in recruiting and national exposure far outweigh the risk of losing the game.

Probably not Atl b/c of the SEC championship there so not really neutral. Would Jax Beach or Neptune Beach be more neutral?

What does the SEC Championship have to do with AL or FSU? :floor:

No need to be sarcastic. Was just pointing out that it's one of the conference's stadium. But you already knew that, right?

I was just using a bit of SEC Football humor at UA's expense. Seriously, to be neutral ground, I think they should play in a neutral state. I never understood why the Cocktail Party was always played in Jacksonville, neutral ground? - I don't think so. I guess they think that Savanah is close enough to Jacksonville, that plenty of UGA fans would show up.

I apologize. I don't mean to be Debbie Downer but I had a bad day, ok. So don't mess with me on Brodie  ,big birds, or bridges!

BTW, the last two are fears not pet peeves.

Okay, Miss Kitty enjoys all the SEC talk. However, she would like a breakdown on the all the schools. gttbm told me last night that Auburn is BIGGER than UA. How does one decide which school to attend? Which schools have the biggest rivalry?

BTW...the male spawn of Sueshore and HMM had the event of a lifetime last weekend in Columbia, MO. The Tigers clawed up the Cornhuskers and he went down on the field to celebrate and take down the goalpost!!! He was flying when his dad talked to him! This is my non-risk taking child! Go Tigers! Go Mizzou!!!!

The main rivalries in the SEC tend to spawn primarily from five teams: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

My (obviously biased) top SEC rivalries:
1. Alabama vs. Auburn
2. Alabama vs. Tennessee
3. Auburn vs. Georgia
4. Florida vs. Tennessee
5. Georgia vs. Florida

I definitely agree. The Alabama/Tennessee rivalry seems to have exploded recently and I might add that the Auburn/LSU games seem to be heading the same way (especially after that stupid *ss game Saturday. :bang:
