AZ sheriff blames political rhetoric

New posts
You may trivialize it all you want -- the fact remains that the entire package in which she presents herself leaves a definite violent image. and the comparison between the two charts is not a balanced one.

I do not believe she is in any way responsible for what happened Saturday...I do believe she is being irresponsible as a public figure to not consider how her behavior, her words, and her implications influence others...and I believe that she misses an opportunity to show some leadership by taking the high road. She has refused to do this ever since McCain's operatives plucked her from obscurity to be part of the campaign... Her inability to do so is why I think she is not qualified to be an elected official. I am pretty sure that most voters -- in all parties -- have decided the same.

Without being politically jaded you would have to say the same thing about Obama and his reckless words. Your rant about her being plucked from obscurity just seems so bitter. Why do you fear her so much? If you don't think she's responsible then stop talking about her and move on.

We have some really sick people that try to use our nations wounds to further their political agenda. 69% of Americans aren't buying the argument.

I'll tell you how afraid the left is, I beg the Tea party/Republicans to nominate her for president. Please, please, please put her at the top of the ticket and let's find out who is really afraid.

Did you read anything else in my post?

well, your definition of bitter and fear must be different from mine. I am not bitter...disgust would be a better definition of what I feel--not so much with her, since she is just doing what apparently comes naturallly to her-- but with the political advisors on John McCain's campaign who decided she would be a good counter candidate to Hilary Clinton...that was condescending at best, and perhaps dangerous at worst for the behavior she has exhibited since...and, I certainly don't fear Sarah Palin; but I do feel a sense of frustration with how our political process is playing out at the present time...and if you think my rather mild post is a "rant" then, you don't know rant....lol!

Hell has no rath like a Glenda Wood Scorned!

All this sarah palin talk, and the Sheriff quickly made a statement about the cause of the incident, but has anyone actually found reports that the wackO had been watching Fox News, The Discovery Channel (Palin's show), or reading Palin's, Rush's, Hannity's, websites or listening to their radio shows? Interesting that the Sheriff almost immediately knew the cause and reported it PRIOR to the investigation. HIS statement has everyone talking about politics rather the fruit loops.

The Sheriff did NOT say that televised pundit's rhetoric directly caused the event.

He blamed "the political climate, anti-government advocates and rhetoric in the news media and political realm" and said that his community had sadly become "an epicenter for anti-government sentiments and radical extremists."

I don't think the Sheriff is wrong - read some of the shooter's posts and he definitely qualifies as "anti-government."

I have no idea but I guess we could act like birthers and say "prove he didn't".
