best directions from I-65?

I want to say there's another road between Georgiana and 84...I was amazed that it is four-laned while 331 is not. Of course, you could just get on 84 at Evergreen. But once you are in Andalusia, definitely take 55 to Florala, unless you are planning to head to Destin. In that case, there is another road which I can't remember the number of, but it goes by Blue Lake Methodist Camp and then through Baker after you cross into Florida.

Looks like I need to rethink our route! My sister and BIL are following us down with a newborn so I love to take the easiest way.

Coming from Columbus, Ohio, our triptik last year had us take 65 to 84 to 331. Looks like taking 55 would be faster.

So would it be 65 to 55 to 84 to 331?

We have taken both routes. Even had a race with another family one year. We both ended up at a Freeport stoplight at the same time.

With kids (especially small ones), I would take the 331 from Montgomery route- more places to stop. The Georgiana route has very limited (and clean) options. On the 331 route, there are quite a few chains, which I rely on when traveling because I know what to expect (most of the time).
